Unpaid Totally Honest Shoott Review + How to Get Affordable Family Photos

Shoott works with professional photographers to offer incredibly affordable photos to individuals and families at locations in your city.

With the fall colors and holidays just around the corner, I think this is an amazing way for families to get some affordable family photos that will be keepsakes forever.

I started seeing ads for Shoott in my area (I live in Nashville) and decided to book a few sessions to get some fresh photos to use on social media. So far I have had three sessions and was incredibly pleased with the photos. I have two more booked for later this fall – one for my business and one for family Christmas card photos.

How much does Shoott cost?

A 30-minute photo session with a Shoott photographer is free. You only pay for the photos you keep. Photos are $15 a piece if you keep less than 10, or $12 a piece for 10 or more. It’s $240 for the whole gallery.

Both of my sessions’ photographers provided around 100 photos. I opted to buy my galleries with both of my shoots.

I know many photographers charge $300+ for mini sessions, which are usually 10-15 minutes, and you usually get 5-10 photos. Shoott is an incredible value.

How does booking work?

Simply go to Shoott’s website and select your city. You will then be given a variety of locations to choose from. Pick the location and then select your date and time. You must select one of the given locations to get the shoot for free. You will have to enter a credit card to hold your date, and you can cancel for free as long as it is more than 24 hours before your photo session.

If you book more than one date, Shoott does charge a $75 fee, which will be applied to any photos that you keep.

Is Shoott worth it?

Absolutely. I was very happy with the quality of the photos that I got with my Shoott photographers. As an influencer, I was able to speak about the style I was looking for and the photographers were able to provide me

Are Shoott photographers good?

Yes, both photographers that I worked with were very skilled, working photographers. One photographer described Shoott to me as Uber for photographers — a way to earn a little extra money and fill gaps. I loved that I was able to support her small business with Shoott!
