Project Life Tuesday: DIY Disney Autograph Book + July Link-Up

Welcome to Project Life Tuesday 2014 If you are new to The Mom Creative, welcome. I hope you will stay awhile. I'm Jessica – wife to Matthew, mom to Elias, a silly and spirited five-year-old, and Adeline, a spunky two-year-old. I'm also a marketing professional, savvy deal finder, photo lover and memory keeper trying to juggle it all. The first Tuesday of every month, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. Some links are affiliate links.

Well, I have not touched my Project Life album in two months. Hello pregnancy, wanting to sleep 10-12 hours a night and throwing up every day. I'm feeling extra motivated this week, so maybe I can get a bunch done – particularly with the holiday weekend? We'll see.

But, I did still manage to get a little Project Life project done, which I am delighted to share today.

DIY Disney Autograph Book

In April when we went to Disneyland, I wanted the kids to have autograph books. I loved the idea of their photos being with the autographs they collected, so I went the DIY route.

I bought $2 4×6 photo albums at Target and slipped the kid's photos in the covers before the trip (so we would know whose was whose).

I also added 4×6 Project Life grid cards to about half of the pages in the albums.

The kids had characters sign the cards and we slipped them into the album pages throughout the vacation. Very easy.

When we got home, I got the photos developed and put them in the pages.

The kids LOVE looking at the books and I love that they were so easy to make! Plus, the price was only about $3 + photo developing.

Here's a quick video of Adeline flipping through the book so you can get a sense of how it came together.

Yesterday, Becky Higgins announced some new 6×8 albums in her shop. These would also work perfect for an album like this.

Such a sweet idea and video! I don’t have kids yet but I would totally make them one like this if I did. (Or when I do.)

Thank you for another great idea!
