Project Life Tuesday: Week 16

Welcome to Project Life Tuesday 2013 If you are new to The Mom Creative, welcome. I hope you will stay awhile. I'm Jessica – wife to Matthew, mom to Elias, a silly and spirited four-year-old, and Adeline, a spunky one-year-old. I'm also a marketing professional, savvy deal finder, photo lover and memory keeper trying to juggle it all.

Each Tuesday, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. Some links are affiliate links

I worked my butt off on Project Life this weekend. I am happy to report that I am only a week behind. A WEEK! YEOW! I am hoping that next weekend I will officially be “caught up,” which is awesome because that means I can turn my attention to Adeline's Project Life first year album.

This week I am sharing weeks 16 because it is such a big spread.

Week 16: April 14-20
Pages used: Design C, Design A , Design J, Design H (out of stock)

This week I had lots of every day photos, instagrams, my trip to Snap! and Matthew's weekend home with the kids. I used lots of inserts, but overall kept things very simple – the way Project Life is intended to be! You won't see lots of stickers or embellishments this week. I was laser focused on getting my pages complete.

On the first page, I used a journaling card from We R Memory Keepers (Target) and a Martha Stewart file label (Staples).

On the design H insert, I included all photos Matthew took of me and me with Adeline + a Jade journaling card. I added some washi tape for a little extra color.

On the back side I used a 6×4 journaling card from We R Memory Keepers (Target).

All the photos in the Design J insert are phone photos. On the front I used some old Project Life number stickers to number the photos. I then wrote about all the photos on one journaling card.

On the backside I used the top journaling card to write about the first three photos and the bottom journaling card to write about the bottom shot.

The second Design J insert is all photos from my trip to Snap. Again I used one journaling card per side to describe the photos.

The last page is all photos from Matthew's weekend with the kids. I used one journaling card from an old kit to write about their weekend.

Project Life posts worth checking out

I usually don't love 12×12 photos trimmed into multiple Project Life pockets, but this photo from Nirupama really is beautiful and works!

Loved travel, sleep, scrap, repeat's travel pages. Lots of little extra bits.

Jeanet's pages are sooooo lovely. The black and white photos. The perfect inserts. I just wanted to stare at them.

Did you see Becky's Hobby Lobby update? Lots of fun products arriving later this week – and you WILL be able to use coupons, which is AMAZING!

Your turn to link up! Also, just a friendly reminder to please remember to link back to The Mom Creative in your posts. Thank you!

I love how you keep the focus on the photos. Sometimes it’s so easy to get caught up in all the fun products that are available for PL. But really simple sometimes is the best, IMO.

Thank you! I agree. As fun as the products are, sometimes it is nice to just keep things simple and get it done. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love the flexibility of Project Life. It can be as simple or intricate as you wish.

Love your pages! Good for you … getting almost caught up! This is the first week I am actually falling behind. ๐Ÿ™ Just too many other things happening to sit down and work on my spread. But next week isn’t nearly as busy, so hopefully I won’t stay behind for long.

This is awesome. I’m not super familiar with Project LIfe but have been seeing it pop more and more these days on the blogs I read. Your pages are gorgeous.

Today, I am starting a social media blog hop with 5 other ladies I met at Snap Conference. Each week features a new social media link up starting with Facebook today. I hope you will come over to link up at Just Us Four!
