Project Life Tuesday: Documenting a Vacation

Project Life
Welcome to Project Life Tuesday 2014 If you are new to The Mom Creative, welcome. I hope you will stay awhile. I’m Jessica – wife to Matthew, mom to Elias, a silly and spirited five-year-old, and Adeline, a spunky two-year-old. I’m also a marketing professional, savvy deal finder, photo lover and memory keeper trying to juggle it all.

Each Tuesday, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. Some links are affiliate links.

Y’all! It’s so good to be back to posting Project Life Tuesday. I needed a break at the end of December/January, so thank you for going along with me. :)

I have not quite finished up my 2013 album, and I haven’t even started 2014 beyond printing some Instagrams, so I have A LOT of work to do. I have not been this far behind in a long time, but I am just rolling with it and keeping my pages very simple, as you will see below.

Today I am sharing the week in November from our trip to the Bahamas. I used the Project Life tropical themed cards, which I bought from HSN in December (now sold out). This set kept the design really fun.

Project Life vacation pages
I love the first page because it has a 12×6 photo (one we took using our camera’s timer.) These are always my favorite photos to include in my album. (I print them at home.) This page protector is from We R Memory Keepers and they are on sale one Amazon for just $5.99 (regularly around $14).

Project Life Vacation Pages
For the next page I inserted two Design G page protectors and dedicated it to our day to the Exumas Islands.

For the next spread, you can see the back of the Design G page + the 6 x 12 for 4×6 photos page I used for a few more photos. Again, I kept this week extremely simple, using Project Life how it was created to be – just photos + journaling cards. Nothing fancy. I was all about getting it done!

For the last spread, you can see the back of the 6×12 insert, plus the Design A page. I actually slipped my date card in here, and mounted a photo to it, which was a good way to get one more picture in!

Well that wraps up my spread and out trip to the Bahamas! Lots of photos and great memories that I am happy to have documented.

Project Life Sale
In case you missed my post at the end of January, several items are marked incredibly low on Amazon right now. Do not miss taking advantage of these incredible deals. (You can watch a video of what I purchased here.)

Project Life Core Kit – Baby Edition: At 50% off (just $14.99) you cannot beat the price of this kit. Go back and do a child’s old baby photos. Use the extra cards in your regular Project Life album. Split the kit with a friend. Love, love, love this kit!

Project Life Month Dividers – Baby Edition – Get these to go with your kit! $3.99

Project Life Childhood Mini Kit – Wellington Edition: I love, love, love this mini kit. I used it to scrapbook my college days. It is versatile and fantastic. You can’t beat the price either – $5.99.

6 x 12 Page Protectors – This is one of my favorite size page protectors. They are only $3.19.

8 x 10 Page Protectors – Horizontal– I use these all the time for kid artwork in my albums.

Project Life Mini Album – Cinnamon – Love these mini albums and at $9.99, you can’t go wrong.

And here are a few other deals on page protectors by other brands (all of which I have, love and use within my Project Life albums)

We R Memory Keepers 12 x 12 inch (4×6 and 4×4 slots): These page protectors are another awesome design, and are just $5.99 price.

American Crafts 12×12 protectors for 6×4 photos: This is a very simple design – great for when you have lots of horizontal photos. These are regularly $10.99, but are marked down to $2.99.

I am glad to see you are back posting the link up! Don’t feel guilty about taking a break. Every blogger needs to do that from time to time :)

Looks like you had a wonderful trip! I am a bit jealous given all the cold and snow we’ve had here lately.

It was a wonderful trip. It was in November, so I too am tired of the cold and want to go back! :)

Looks like such a fun trip! You got some great pictures of the two of you. I have to remember to use 4×6 cards for journaling instead of trying to force everything onto 3×4 when I have a lot to say. Worked so well in your layouts.
