Review: Epson XP-810 Scanner & Printer

Epson Scanner
One thing I have learned doing Project Life week after week, year after year, is that having the right tools at home can make a big difference.

Epson recently sent me one of their newest products- the Epson XP-810 Small Wireless Color Photo Printer with Scanner, Copier and Fax.

If you are a photo enthusiast on any level, I think this printer is a GREAT investment, and definitely way more affordable than a large format printer.

Retail is $229, but Amazon has it on sale for just $159.99. Maybe ask Santa for it this year or use some Christmas gift cards to buy one for yourself?

Here are some of the many features it boasts:

  • Prints borderless photos from 3.5×5 up to 8×10 (and Epson’s quality can’t be beat! I have used photos printed from their printers for 2 years in my scrapbooks)
  • Built-in memory card slots for PC-free printing (this is such an handy feature. You can even crop and edit your photos right from the touchscreen!)
  • Automatic two-sided printing
  • Wireless printing from your iPad, iPhone, tablet, smartphone or laptop computer with Epson Connect (I bought Matthew an iPad Mini for Christmas and I have a feeling he is going to be using this a lot.)
  • Scans documents and saves them to the cloud
  • A dedicated photo tray and direct CD/DVD printing
  • Built-in auto photo correction tools
  • 30-page Auto Document Feeder for automatic two-sided copying, scanning and faxing
  • An easy-to-use 3.5-inch touchscreen (It is so intuitive)
  • Bonus templates for printing lined school paper, graph paper, calendar pages, and custom note paper with personal photos – all without a computer.

It’s seriously one of the most incredible home printing machines I have ever seen. The set-up was a breeze (once I removed the packing foam from the ink cartridges – whoops!).

I have long-wanted a quality scanner to use for scanning old photos and all the art projects that the kids bring home from school. (If you have never watched Becky Higgins’ video about organizing kids’ memorabilia and scanning art, you need to. You will be inspired.)  I know I will be utilizing this scanner/printer to add more unique pieces to my Project Life albums in 2014.

I will definitely be writing about this tool often in the coming year, but with Christmas right around the corner, I wanted to mention it now.

Add an Epson XP-810 Small Wireless Color Photo Printer with Scanner, Copier and Fax to your list!

Disclosure: I was sent an Epson XP-810 Small Wireless Color Photo Printer with Scanner, Copier and Fax to review. All opinions and excitement is my own. Compensated affiliate link used.

Wow that is gorgeous and sounds amazing! I’m going to be in the market for a new printer soon and I really am impressed with this one. I am interested in hearing how the ink lasts though. Maybe you could share that with your next mention?

I think that is a difficult one to answer because your printer usage might be totally different than mine. I have been happy with Epson ink on my large format printer!

Did you try scanning multiple photos at one time through the auto feeder?
I currently have a wireless all in one printer, fax, scanner and have not tried scanning via the auto feeder. Now I’m curious to see if I can just use the machine I have already instead of buying a new one? Hmmm. After watching Becky’s creativeLIVE class I was on a mission for a fast scanner like the one Becky has but I don’t know which one she uses!! Do you?
