HOT Minted Chrismas Card Deal: Ends Monday

by jessicaturner on November 6, 2013

Minted Christmas Card Deal
Y’all!! I am SO excited about this deal because a) it is for Minted, my favorite card company and b) it is SO awesome. I was first introduced to Minted last Christmas when they were running some fantastic card promotions, and I have since become mildly obsessed.

In the past year, I have ordered Christmas cards, my sister’s circus baby shower invitations and Elias’s pirate birthday party invitations from Minted. Without question, they are the nicest cards I have ever purchased (and I have bought from A LOT of card companies). Minted also makes beautiful paper product gifts, like personalized notebooks, prints, labels, etc.

I stumbled on a hot Minted deal today that I think many of you will want to take advantage of. This might seem a bit complicated, but it really isn’t – and it is worth it. You can get 25 cards for just $15 out of pocket – or 55 cards for $33 + free shopping.

That is an AWESOME deal, and it expires Monday, so get those Christmas card pictures taken!

NOTE: You will often see card deals from other companies at Christmas time for 10 free cards + $6.99 shipping, so this is actually one of the best deals we’ll probably see this season. Moreover, I can’t emphasize the superior quality of Minted’s printing, cardstock and just EVERYTHING about them.

Scenario One: 25 cards for $15 (save $45)

This deal will work for current or new Minted customers.

1. Go to Minted and set up an account, or log-in.
2. Select a card
3. When you go to order your card, select Express Service. This will give you $20 off your order.

You will see this discount reflected in your cart.

4. Proceed to check-out. Don’t worry, you are still going to save more money. Fill out all your information, including your credit card. Toward the bottom you will see a spot for a promo code. Add the code JOY25FS, which will give you $25 off and free shipping. The site will say you can’t use two promo codes, but ignore that message.

5. Proceed to the next page to submit your order. There you will see the $20 off for the express service, the $25 off coupon code and the free shipping.

6. The two discounts make the $60 order just $15! YEOW! Hit place order and feel awesome for getting such a great deal.

Scenario Two: 55 Cards for $33 (save $70)

For this scenario, you must be a new customer. When you sign up using my referral link, you will get a $25 credit to use on your first order of $100 or more. Do the exact same thing as scenario one, except be sure to order at least $100 worth of cards (instead of the bare minimum). As you can see below, $70 will be taken off your order. Awesome, huh?

Minted Christmas card discount

I hope all of this makes sense. Please leave a comment if this works for you, or if you have any questions.

Here’s to saving money this Christmas season!

Disclosure: referral link used. Thanks so much for clicking.

Hey, Jessica! Thanks SO much for posting this! I just placed my order and everything worked great except the Express Service Discount. It initially said I would get the $20 off but only $10 was taken off at checkout. Still a great deal though – I’m excited to see how they turn out!

I wonder if it depends on the type of card you use? Glad that you still were able to take advantage of it!

I only got the $10 for Express shipping too–but I agree. Still a great deal. Thanks for posting about this Jessica.

It’s also important to note that there are only certain designs that are eligible for the Express Service Discount. I picked out the design we wanted to use, to make sure we knew which orientation our photo needed to be for the design we wanted :), took some photos and edited one, uploaded and designed my card, only to realize that the card I picked couldn’t get Express Service. :( Sad! So, FYI, it looks like only certain cards, maybe half of the designs, are Express Service Eligible.

Thanks for this! I will try to get some fun pics this weekend to include on a card for this year. :)

Thanks for posting!! I’m not getting my professional photos done until 11/16, so I’m hoping you have other awesome deals to share later on….but I’m still glad to be introduced to Minted! You rock. 😉

Amazon Local (for Nashville) has a photo card deal with invitationbox.com right now for 40 cards/$18, 75 cards/$26 and 110 cards/$36. Not sure quality from this company, but lots of selection and for 30-40 cents a card, worth a try! Here is the link for the deal: https://local.amazon.com/nashville/B00GBA9NMO.

Yes, this is a great deal, especially if you need 100+ cards. I have never heard of the company to know what their quality is like. Like I said in my post, Minted cards are HIGH QUALITY. Much superior to most card companies.

Worked for me! Love minted cards, they are the best. Thanks so much!

Hey, Jessica-

Such a great deal! Thank you for sharing. One thing I noticed that may be beneficial to others that have yet to take their Christmas card pictures is that you can Buy Now, Upload Later through Minted. Pick your card, don’t worry about the pics just yet and pay. Finish it on your own time.

Perfect for those of us with little whahoos who are expert photobombers. I have yet to get one with eyes looking and hands in appropriate places. :) Just thought I would share!

jessicaturner November 7, 2013 at 9:05 am

Hey Abby, did you actually try this? The way I read the fine print was that the buy now, upload later would not qualify with the express discount. Let us know!

Ashley November 7, 2013 at 9:06 am

Thanks so much Jessica! Worked great except the express service discount was only $10 instead of $20 for me. Still such a super deal….can’t wait to get my cards! I’m just a little excited for Christmas already! Love your blog and all the wonderful things you share! :)

yay! I’m so glad you were happy. I wonder why it went to $10 instead of $20. I tested it this morning and still got $20.

Ashley I. November 7, 2013 at 1:11 pm

I’m not sure either. It always showed up as just $10 for me. Weird!

Reply

Shelly Smith November 9, 2013 at 9:11 pm

Same thing for me! $10 off

Reply

Jessica November 7, 2013 at 9:15 am

I walked through the process twice just to make sure I wasn’t missing it but the express service option was definitely not there. Maybe they changed it?

Reply

jessicaturner November 7, 2013 at 9:42 am

I wonder if it depends on the card you select? I just tested it on several photo and non photo cards – all flat designs, and it always showed up as an option.

You are a rockstar! Way to go, lady. I can’t wait to take our card pictures on Saturday and get ours ordered as well. Here’s to being on top of things. xo

What happens if you need to order more cards than that? I need 270.

Reply

jessicaturner November 8, 2013 at 5:38 am

Then you will pay more money… If you use Minted the price per card goes down as you buy more. You might also look on sites like Amazon Local or Groupon to see if they have deals for larger quantities.

Brea November 7, 2013 at 1:13 pm

Anyone know if you can do two separate orders and do the 25 card special twice? I need more than 25 cards, but I already have a membership at Minted so I don’t qualify for the other offer.

jessicaturner November 8, 2013 at 5:38 am

I’m not sure… let us know if you try.

only got the $10 express discount and even though new customer, did not get the $25 with your link, when I called the company they said they blocked that ability to use multiple discounts

jessicaturner November 8, 2013 at 5:38 am

hmmmm… sorry. I know it has continued to work for others.

Just did this, thank you! I ordered postcards (did that last year and it was wonderful…so cute and saved on postage). With the $10 off express discount and $25 off/free shipping, I got 25 POSTCARDS FOR $8!
Wonderful deal…thanks again!

Just tried it. Got the express discount and referral discount, but not the other JOY25SF discount. Says it won’t work and even when I click through as mentioned above, it won’t work. Also, I had to select several cards in order to get the express discount to show up- otherwise the only option was for me to proof it myself. Great deals, a few quirks!

Woo hoo, I just ordered and got all the discounts. Plus this motivated me to make it happen before the Christmas rush…!!
Thank you Jessica.

Thank you SO MUCH for this! I always end up spending a fortune on holiday cards even using discounts. It took me two tries because I did not follow your referral link the first time, but once I did it correctly I saved $60! 100 cards for $114!

Katrina November 8, 2013 at 11:26 pm

I had just been checking out various sites for my Christmas cards this year, and thought Minted was too expensive…. Until I found your post! Got all three discounts – worked great! Thank you!

Went all the way through and got the referral and express discount (only $10 for me), but not the JOY25SF one…. went back and realized I hadn’t clicked “apply discount.” This time it worked! :) I LOVE Minted and have also found the quality to be amazing! Thanks for posting this great deal! PS: Even better….. they’re addressing all my envelopes FOR FREE!! Just have to upload the Excel file and they’ll do the rest. LOVE this option and haven’t found it on other popular card sites!

Ashley McFarland November 9, 2013 at 8:47 pm

I only have $10 savings on the express thing too – wonder why? Did you ever figure that out? Thanks!

Reply

jessicaturner November 10, 2013 at 3:06 pm

I think they must have changed it. When I went to order my cards today it was only $10 too.

Thank you for posting this! It was only $10 of credit when I went in, but because I had selected a Christmas postcard (instead of a card with an envelope), the price was lower. I ended up getting the cards I wanted for .62 cents each, instead of 1.70 each. I was considering giving up the card tradition because of cost. Thank you!

This is a good deal, but I’m having my photos taken next Saturday. I’m hoping there will be another deal just as good so I can choose the express option since I cannot combine that discount with the buy now upload later option.

Karen November 11, 2013 at 9:42 am

I was going to order but the express discount has been reduced to $10 and now they are saying that the discount code is invalid. I will try again.

Reply

jessicaturner November 11, 2013 at 1:40 pm

The discount code is valid through tonight, so definitely try again or contact support!
