Christmas in July: The Nutcracker

by jessicaturner on July 12, 2013

When I was in high school, I saw The Nutcracker for the first time. It was a magical evening with my other theater classmates. I never thought I would enjoy the ballet like I did that night.

Ever since then, I have had a special place in my heart for The Nutcracker, so am super excited to share the Nashville Ballet’s Christmas in July deal with you. During this month only, the Nashville Ballet is offering the largest single ticket discount of the year – $12 off! – for Nashville’s Nutcracker tickets. This discount is only available through July 31.

Tickets can be purchased at the TPAC Box Office (505 Deaderick Street), by phone at (615) 782-4040 or online at Use the discount code – XMASJULY – when purchasing to receive the discount.

This year I am so excited for our family to go see Nashville’s Nutcracker. I think Elias is just old enough to enjoy it. I think he will especially love the toy soldiers.

So if you live in or near Nashville, go snatch up some tickets now! And I’m curious – have you ever seen The Nutcracker? Have you taken your kids?

Disclosure: My family was provided with tickets for this post, but genuine excitement for the show is all my own.

Every year, I take my daughter to a production of the Nutcracker (since she was 4 – she is 10 now). It is a magical, beautiful ballet, and every performance is different… I love this special tradition that she and I have.

Love the nutcracker. I’m hoping to take my daughter to see it one day!
