Project Life Tuesday

The Mom Creative
Welcome to Project Life Tuesday 2012! If you are new to The Mom Creative, welcome. I hope you will stay awhile. I’m Jessica – wife to Matthew, mom to Elias, a silly and spirited four-year-old, and Adeline, a spunky one-year-old. I’m also a marketing professional, savvy deal finder, photo lover and memory keeper trying to juggle it all.

Each Tuesday, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. This year, Epson is sponsoring Project Life Tuesday, and they provided me with their Epson Stylus R2880 Large Format Photo Printer (C11CA16201) for many of my album’s photos. Printing photos at home is definitely helping to keep me on track, as my album has never gotten this far along in the four years I have been doing this project.

Here is a photo of where I am at for this week:

I caught up on seven weeks of photos this weekend (organizing them in weekly folders on my external hard drive), and got three weeks developed (to save time and ink I am using my large format printer for all my big and odd size photos, so in addition to these prints, I have two 19×13 prints to trim!).

Last night I was going to put all three weeks in my album (August 26-September 15), but Elias had a meltdown and I had a migraine, so instead, we all went to bed early.

My in-laws are coming for a week-long visit on Friday and my mother-in-law is planning to start her first Project Life album. I am looking forward to getting these three weeks completed and working on getting more photos printed. I definitely find that working in chunks is a good way to get caught up. I am totally NOT stressing.

How is Project Life coming along for you? Please link up below!

Yay for you getting photos printed ahead of time. I print all mine at home, because then I can “steal” bits and pieces of time to work on it. I firmly believe PL, or any memory keeping should be fun, and not a chore or obligation, so kudos to you for stopping when you weren’t feeling well.

Hope you have a better day soon! Thanks for hosting the linkup. I always love looking at others’ pages!

Yes, I am feeling better today, so going to bed was the right decision. Family and health have to be priority #1!

It’s good to hear you were able to catch up! I am pretty far behind myself. I. Have a 2 week old. I just didn’t feel like working on it the last few weeks of pregnancy, so I haven’t even looked at it in several weeks. I am thinking I am around 7-8 weeks behind. I am hoping to be able to get back into a regular routine of working on it soon and get caught up!

Katrina – my baby is 3 weeks old, so I get how you feel! I was behind by several weeks back in the spring because I felt so crappy. Don’t stress about it – take care of your baby, get rest as you can and come back to PL when you’re ready. It’s supposed to be fun, not stressful 😀 And congratulations!

I will tell you that last year’s Project Life album is the most empty of my four years. Don’t despair. You will get your mojo back! :)

Hope your head is feeling better. I think getting the pictures printed really is half the battle, after that everything falls into place nicely. I printed 5 weeks worth during my last print and loved how quickly everything came together. Have fun with your inlaws!

Last night was rough, but I am doing well today, thank you! Yes, the photos are definitely the biggest part of the battle. :)

I am a new grandmother to little Ella. . . I am curious how you are going to help your mother-in-law get started on PL. . . I have boxes of photos and school treasures for kids now ages 23 – 33. How can I address all of these in true PL style?
