Project Life Tuesday: July 8-July 14

Welcome to Project Life Tuesday 2012! If you are new to The Mom Creative, welcome. I hope you will stay awhile. I’m Jessica – wife to Matthew, mom to Elias, a silly and spirited four-year-old, and Adeline, a spunky one-year-old. I’m also a marketing professional, savvy deal finder, photo lover and memory keeper trying to juggle it all.

I started Project Life Tuesday in 2010 because:

  • I needed to keep myself accountable and on top of my photos each week.
  • My family loved being able to count on a weekly post with pics of the kids.
  • I thought others might want to keep themselves accountable too.

It was a huge blessing and so I am excited to be kicking off my third year of this series.

Each Tuesday, I will share my spread from the previous week, as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. This year, Epson is sponsoring Project Life Tuesday, and they provided me with their Epson Stylus R2880 Large Format Photo Printer (C11CA16201) for many of my album’s photos. Printing photos at home is hopefully going to help keep me on track!

This was a big week in terms of photos and inserts. It was Elias’s birthday and the first half of a trip to see Matthew’s family.

I used a Design F and a Design A for the main spread. For the inserts I used Design J, Horizontal 5 x 7 Page Protector and Design G.

For page one, I used a journaling card to write about all the photos on the page. I added a Dear Lizzy thicker to the journaling card. I also put number stickers on the photos to correlate to the words on the card.

For the first insert (Design J) the front focuses on Elias’s 4th borthday. I created a 4×4 journaling card for the photos. I love the two instagrams on the journaling card. I put a large 4 sticker alongside the top photo (which was a 6×4 that I trimmed to go across two pockets).

The back of Design J are all phone photos from when we flew to Maryland to see Matthew’s family. I again used a single journaling card for the page.

The Horizontal 5 x 7 Page Protector has a few of my favorite photos from the bathtub photo shoot we did with Adeline.

The Design G insert has all photos from our visit with Matthew’s family. I used a big 4×6 journaling card for words about the front of the page, and added instagrams to the bottom of the card.

The back and the Design A insert are both more photos from our visit. I still want to add a few journaling labels to the photos, but man I still love, love, love these pages!

Can’t wait to see your pages from this week!

Isn’t it great when you finish a week and look back at it and think how much you love how it all turned out?
