Each Tuesday, I share my most recent spread as well as host a linky for readers to link up their pictures/layouts. This year, Epson is sponsoring Project Life Tuesday, and they provided me with their Epson Stylus R2880 Large Format Photo Printer (C11CA16201) for many of my album’s photos. Printing photos at home is definitely helping to keep me on track!
Before I share my recent spread, I want to be sure you were aware of all the new products Becky Higgins previewed this past week. I am pretty stoked about it all! Here are the sneak peaks:
Seafoam kit: What I will probably use for Project Life 2013
Olive kit: This kit is so, so pretty, but all the flowers make me think I don’t want to use it for my family’s annual album. Instead I plan to use it to do some catching up from my pre-kid days
Baby kits: I plan to get the girl one for Adeline since she has ZERO scrapbook pages dedicated to her first year
Childhood kits: I’m sure I’ll need a few of these too. I haven’t done any scrapbooking for Elias since he turned one. I love the practicality of these smaller kits
Okay, enough drooling over all that product. Here is my spread from July 15-21. (Be sure you read to the end, as I have a special giveaway today!)
Page one is a wrap-up of our time in Maryland. I love the sticker element “3” that I made of the three generations of Turner men – Matthew’s dad, Matthew and Elias. I used the journaling card to recap all the other photos.
The first insert (Design I) has photos from our plane ride home to Nashville.
The back-side has a few random shots. I cropped these to 3×3 and mounted them on cardstock. I love the pop of color this adds to the spread.
Then I used a 5 x 7 page for Elias’s birthday invitation and thank you card. (I promise a blog post about the party is coming soon!)
The last page is a photo heavy page of some of my favorite party shots. The single journaling card recaps the fun.
Now before you link-up, I have a special giveaway today!
I have been a fan of Big Picture Classes (formerly Big Picture Scrapbooking) for many years. In addition to their ready to download classes (like my scrapbooking your baby’s first year class), they offer many longer-workshops. Well, Becky Higgins is launching a 12-week course in October called Project Real Life and it looks amazing. Check out the class description:
Come join Becky Higgins for an opportunity to spend some time with her during the last quarter of 2012. As Becky goes about preparing for the holidays, organizing around her home and documenting her family’s story along the way, she’ll be sharing ideas to inspire you, tips to motivate you, and real-life suggestions on how to cultivate the life you want.
Whether you’re a long-time Project Lifer or you’re just now hearing about Project Life, you will love learning about the guilt-free philosophy behind this system of memory-keeping. While Becky will give you plenty to think about and do during the 12 weeks of this workshop, she firmly believes that there isn’t a person that exists who “does it all” — and it should be the last thing that we expect from ourselves.
Project Real Life includes:
● An exclusively-designed set of Project Life cards (3″ x 4″ and 4″ x 6″) that will not be available anywhere else!
● Access to a pre-classroom with a presentation from Becky upon registration for class
● Colorful instructional handouts with step-by-step instructions for each lesson/project
● Voice messages, slideshows and videos throughout class
● Three live chats with Becky
● Welcome notes from Becky in the classroom
● Reminder emails when the classroom is updated with new materials
● Message board to share your thoughts with your classmates
● Private posting gallery to share your work and view the work of your classmates
● Supply list with live links to product resources
This class is only $99, which is really reasonable given the duration of the class, the amount of content and the inspiration Becky is sure to provide.
Today, I am pleased to be giving away one spot in Project Real Life. Just leave a comment and I will select a winner on Sunday.
UPDATE: Congrats to Mandy who said: Pick Me! Pick Me! I would love to do this class, but can’t swing it just yet. This would be a great surprise from early Santa! Love following your blog and that you find the time to post your PL. I began posting this year, but even though I’ve kept up, haven’t posted mine. Thank you for your diligence!
