Handmade Items for Adeline and Elias

by jessicaturner on July 8, 2011

I have had a lot of fun (in large part thanks to Heartsy, a flash deal site for handmade shops – get a $5 credit when you sign up!) acquiring some sweet handmade items for Adeline, so I wanted to share the shops in which they have come from. The women who run these shops are so, so talented!

Adeline and her Baby Be Blessed doll

Baby Be Blessed Doll – Angie first introduced me to these dolls and I have always admired them. Tina, the shop owner, sent one for Adeline and I am just smitten. I love the personalized details, like Adeline’s name and a scripture verse sewn on the doll’s tummy, the minky hair, etc. SO sweet – and something I know she will carry around with her for years.

Elias loves his monkeyNmonster t-shirt

monkeyNmonster – I bought two cute t-shirts for Elias from this shop. They shipped quickly and the sewing is boutique-quality. Elias loved them!

BriarClaire– One of the largest headband shops on Etsy, I love all the styles! You might remember Adeline rocking this Briar.Claire headband when she was just hours old.

Bellas Bowtique – For unusual, vintagey and refined headbands, this is THE shop. Sara sent me a few of these and I literally squealed when I opened the box. These are my favorite headbands that Adeline has and she wore several of them for her newborn shoot (photos coming soon). They are so different and simply stunning.

Stella B Designs – I bought Adeline’s knit hat here for her newborn shoot. I loved that I could pick any color yarn. The shop owner was so sweet to work with.

Elias's cool crayon wallet

Get Sassed – I ordered crayon wallets from this shop for Elias and Adeline. I had planned to make them on my own until I saw these. I am even happier once I received them. The quality is AMAZING. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Wonderfully Made – I have shared this shop before (run by my friend Audra), but seriously, if you are looking for adorable boys and girls dresses, Audra is your girl. LOVE, Love, love her talent.

What handmade shops do you love?

I signed up for Heartsy using your link (cant believe I didn’t do it before now! I meant to!) but I didnt get the $5 credit. :( Do you have any idea why? I know you will verge $10 referral if I order but I can’t figure out my credit. Maybe it just takes a day or two?

I earn a $5 credit and you earn a $5 credit… I don’t know why it wouldn’t appear. You should email their customer service. I have emailed them before and they have always been responsive and helpful!

Cute… However, do the eyes seem stable on the doll? I’m always worried about things like that for children. I have a great little one in mind to receive something like this, but I want to make sure there is no choking hazard.

oh, yes. Very stable. I don’t see how they could come off!

I bet you’ve forgotten about all that vomiting now (at least a little) :)
Adeline looks just like you, and Elias is as precious as ever. Enjoy you blessings.
