Yesterday was Elias’s last day of day care for December. His teachers gave me a giant ziplock full of Christmas art projects from the past month. A wreath made with his handprints, a yellow painted star, a few marker drawings.
But this made me cry.
How did my sweet little baby somehow become old enough to make me an ornament?
I mean, I realize he had some help.
But he smiled for the camera. He scribbled on that little mitten. He helped spread the glitter.
He doesn’t even realize how much his mom loves glitter.
This is the first of many ornaments I know he will make.
And it made me cry.
