Pool Fun

by jessicaturner on June 8, 2009

It’s official. Elias is a water baby. I had so much fun with him this weekend in the big and little pool.

We did the kiddie pool on Saturday. Click here if you haven’t watched the video. He had sooooo much fun splashing. He got tickled every time he splashed. Toward the end, he kept trying to crawl out, which was funny. I took about 100 pictures. Here are a few favorites.

My friend Mandy came over after church on Sunday and we talked about her wedding, had lunch and then went swimming. It was the perfect Sunday. Elias really liked the big pool too, although he didn’t understand why I had to hold him when he was out of the little float I got him. He would laugh and laugh every time I would lift him out of the pool and into the air. He also kept trying to suck on his float, so I got a lot of pictures with his face buried in it. Here are some good ones though.

Thanks to Mandy for taking all the ones of me with Elias. I know I will treasure them always.

Several people have asked about the reusable swim diaper. It worked great. Here is the link: FINIS Boy’s Swim Diapers

I also got most of my to do list done, so that was good too. All in all it was a great weekend.

looks like an absolutely perfect day… and while he is the happiest baby, it's even more fun seeing you so happy with him!

SOOOOO cute! And not that this is really important in the grand scheme of things of you having a memorable and amazing weekend with your baby, but your arms are in such good shape!! Do you work them out a lot, or is just lifting your growing cutie enough?

@Michele – your comment cracked Matthew and I up because a) I never work out and b) I am NOT in shape. lol. It just must be the angle of the picture or something. My arms are very average – now if I would just start The Shred DVD I bought… Thanks for the smile.

He is the cutest thing EVER! My little girl is 3 now, but I remember her first time swimming and she loved it too. That little giggle they give when they splash is the best!

Hey girl! Met you at Blissdom and how have I not been to your blog yet?! Tsk!

My kids are ALL water babies, my youngest most of all. We spent the morning splashing in the fountain at the park. Er, they did. I sat on the sidelines…
