Take the bathtub for instance. He now can sit in it by himself, although he often prefers to go on his tummy and try to crawl around in it – or just flap his arms and legs really fast. It is adorable. We never put much water in the tub, so his bare butt hangs out of the water, making it even cuter. Yes, I have taken pictures, but I will refrain from sharing them. I still haven’t lived down posting this ultrasound picture. Last night he was even trying to pull up on the side of the tub! I don’t think so little boy!
I must video his crawl for you all to see. He used to move from one place to another with just his arm. Now he has learned to use one knee, making it even funnier, as he drags the other leg limply along. This morning he went from the living room to the kitchen, which was the longest distance he has crawled. He came to see what I was doing. It was very sweet.
Tomorrow is Elias’s last day in the “panda room” at day care. He is moving up to the older baby/young toddler room – the “lamb room.” I am very sad. It is yet another milestone that he is growing! I’m not ready for it…
Tomorrow Elias and I are headed to Wisconsin for another visit with my family – and to give Matthew more alone time to work on his book. Next week day care is closed (again) and Matthew will have the peanut all week. Based on how “busy” Elias is these days, chances are, writing is going to be challenging, so say a prayer for him!
Is it just me or do the milestones seems to come more rapidly as kids get older? Seriously. It seems like we were just trying to get him to like tummy time!
