Get Lucky: Lisa Leonard ‘Lucky Mommy’ Necklace

by jessicaturner on March 17, 2009

Last month when I attended Blissdom, I had the opportunity to meet Lisa Leonard. She gave me a sweet little burlap package, filled with candy, a card and an adorable key ring charm. I have long been a fan of her jewelry, so to get a little package with a handmade charm – I was super excited.

You can imagine my delight when I followed up with her after the conference and she offered to send me one of her creations – and give two for two lucky blog readers! What a blessing!

Then, it arrived.

Oh. My. Word.

I LOVE this necklace. Don’t you? I get tickled every morning when I put it around my neck and I am constantly finding excuses to point out its cuteness to people.

If you would like to win this necklace, leave a comment telling me why you are a lucky mommy or about a lucky mommy you know. Afterall, we all know mommies who would love this necklace, right?

Be sure you go to Lisa’s website and check out her jewelry and gifts. She is AMAZING. Also, you can get 15% off your order if you sign up for her mailing list.

Good luck! I will post the winners around 9 pm CDT tonight.

I am a lucky mommy! My 3 year old snuggles with me and tells me how much she loves me, and my 1 year old gives me big slobbery open-mouth kisses on the cheek every day!

I am a lucky mommy – I have the two most beautiful children in the whole world and I absolutely adore them! They are so loving and affectionate and smart and God-fearing. They love to snuggle and want to end each day with snuggle time before bed! I was so lucky to have a wonderful role model for a mother, too!

I am a lucky mommy…even though my babies are way bigger than the prints depicted on the necklace! We were not supposed to have any babies and the Lord proved all the doctors wrong and blessed us with three.

I’m really more blessed than lucky.

i am a lucky mommy to 3…because even after having my last 2 pregnancies being pretty much miserable, where i was praying to the porcelain god daily for the whole 9 months…i had 3 very quick and easy labors and deliveries and would do it all again for those 3. they’re lucky, because i decided that i wouldn’t try to give them back after. ;0)

I am a luuck mommy because of my 2 step-sons and daughter. I adopted my step-sons last September, so they are “officially” mine. My husband got primary custody of them after his divorce in 2002 and their birth mother choose not to act on her visitation rights and “abandoned” them. They were 1 and 2 at the time (8 and 9 now) and were 6 and 7 when my husband and I got married. We now have a daughter who is 3 months old- so I am 3 times lucky! Thanks once again for a great giveaway!

I’m a lucky mommy because I had my 4 babies long enough ago that I’m seeing the people they are growing to be. I’m lucky that although my heart desire was to be the best mommy in the world, I’ve failed more times that I care to think about, but God in HIs mercy has filled those parenting gaps that I left scattered everywhere and has poured His grace out on their lives. They are more a reflection of Him than of me or their father. So I’m continually thankful, amazed, and blessed by the people God is shaping my babies to be. (12, 15, 17, and 20 – not babies now really, but always My babies) I’m blessed beyond what I deserve and my greatest joy is watching God work in their lives.

I never thought I’d enjoy being a stay-at-home mom…but now I can’t imagine being anywhere else. It’s amazing that God knows what we need way before we get around to figuring it out.

I have a lucky mommy. She was told she would never have children of her own. 15 years into marriage with my daddy, and surprise! I’m here!

I am a lucky mommy. My son was in and out of the hospital the early months of his life. There were times we knew exactly what was wrong and times we didn’t. I’ll never forget the feeling of seeing my 2-month-old in the ICU with a central line in his neck. I spent my first mother’s day in the hospital. It was then I realized that no one had warned me about that part of motherhood!

But now I have a vivacious and way–too-active 5-year-old. I am beyond lucky because I work in his school. For my son’s entire school career, I’ve gotten to take him with me every morning, peek in on him throughout the day, and take him home with me. God could not have blessed me more.

Wow to be a mommy is lucky… I have four kids and my fourth was God’s surprise, there were many times throughout the pregnancy that we thought “it” would come way early — I was on bedrest. But i knew I had to believe in God and that all would happen as it was suppose to… well She came a couple weeks early and stayed in PICU for 11 days and everyday I thank God for this wonderful surprise and when she comes up to me and says mommy Thank you, Mommy I get tears in my eyes that I almost didn’t get to hear those words. And when she lays on the floor screaming… I say oh my goodness I almost didn’t get to hear these wonderful screams. And when my three older kids love on her and tell her how much they love her… I know I am the luckiest person in the world to watch all the love this family has… and I feel like the luckiest person in the world.

I was in a horrrendous car accident 6 years ago and they have stood by me thru it all. one example the night before my surgery where I didn’t know if I would keep my right leg they came over cooked me dinner got me to laugh and never left my side till the doctors made them, if not for them I don’t think I would be who I am today I would be lost with out them and their I love you mom and is there anything I can do to help you daily helps me to get up every morning, I hope every mommy out there is lucky enough to have great sons as mine.
