The Weekend Ahead

by jessicaturner on February 20, 2009

I am really looking forward to a quiet weekend since the past two have been wonderful, but hectic. Saturday Elias and I are going to Amber’s baby shower, and then the whole family is going to Lee and Traci’s for dinner. Sunday will just be ordinary – church, laundry, grocery shopping, etc.

I am planning on getting a bunch of scrapbooking done. I feel like I haven’t scrapped in forever. I also need to get caught up on my 365 album. I promise I will share it next week. I am LOVING this project.
I also am going to sit down and write a bunch of cards and thank yous. I love sending real mail. I try to make time once a month to do that, but it has fallen to the way-side the past few months.
What are your weekend plans?

I have a very exciting weekend planned. My husband and I are the youth leaders at our church and we are taking our 4 youth group kids to a huge youth conference that is around 6 hours from our house. The kids are totally pumped. Please pray that they get something from the weekend and can take it back home and hopefully help our youth group to grow!

Your weekend sounds like it will be great – I’m just getting over the flu. No fun!

Also – since you are such an advocate for Southwest Airlines…

I am flying with them for the first time in about a month, and I have heard it’s quite a different experience than flying any other airline? I’m not really sure why. I guess it’s the boarding? I haven’t checked yet to see if you have already posted one…but maybe you could post an entry explaining how it all works from a new passengers point of view? Does that make sense? Just an idea if you had the time! Your writing is wonderful. Have a great weekend!

Sounds like a fun weekend for you! I hope you can accomplish everything you want to! Tonight after work is LAUNDRY, pick up house, dinner, and spend time with the kids. Tomorrow is Story Hour for the kids at the local Coffee Shop, then home, then off to my husband’s parents to have dinner with them and other family. Sunday is church, my 31st birthday lunch, naps, small group and then some time with the kids and hubby to prepare for the week ahead!! Whew.

My plans are to write out a new budget (yuck), go grocery shopping, create a photo dvd for my dad’s 75th birthday and scrapbook. I also need to catch up on my Project 365. I have all the photos….just need to get them in the album and get the journaling done. Have a great weekend and enjoy Amber’s shower…she is so sweet. Should be a blast!

Every weekend I decide I’m going to work ahead on the blog a little bit, make some plans for what to write and even have a few extra so I can post when I’m not feeling up to it.

I never seem to get that accomplished :) But this weekend might just be the one to get it done!!! :)

Hope you have a great time with all the social stuff tomorrow, and an even better day chilling out on Sunday. Can’t wait to see what scrapbooking stuff you cook up!
