Santa Came Early!

by jessicaturner on December 22, 2008

My favorite shot

As a child, Santa always came to our house early. You see, Santa knows the boys and girls who will not be home on Christmas day, so he comes to their houses early. After all, it would be pretty hard to get to everyone’s house in one week, wouldn’t it? Santa is so smart.

Elias didn’t mind waiting all day to open his presents. He was so cute – he loved the bright colored paper and even ripped it a bit. And yes, the paper was just as fun to try to suck on as his toys.

Here are a few favorites.

All he does is drool, drool, drool… :)

Even on mommy’s pjs!
Sweet boy…
Daddy helped with the unwrapping.

I will likely not be blogging much the next few days, but I will try to at least update my twitter. Follow me – I’m JessicaNTurner.

Oh, and sorry I don’t have a December Daily update. I did work on my album, but didn’t have a chance to photograph it. Guess you will have to wait until after Christmas!

Santa came early in our house too! Three weeks early to be exact. Have a Merry Christmas!

So much fun… love the one of him with the paper. I have one of my nephew at about that age with a bow on his head; it’s so darn cute.

Love the drool :)

So cute! Especially that little drool dribble coming down his chin. You’ll be seeing some teeth soon!

Very cute pics, love it! Great idea on coming early if you won’t be home. We were and are always home, so hadn’t heard of that!

I am so surprised….I was told you were the “real deal”…and you are starting your child’s first christmas on a lie….Christians are no supposed to lie…we ALL know where they go…Now seriously think about this…if you lie to your child about santa, tooth fairy, etc. what makes you think as your child gets older they will think you are lying about Jesus as well?? just a thought worth praying about…AND what makes you think your child will not question you about lying to them about the true meaning of christmas. At my house we DO NOT lie about ANYTHING so my kids who are 7 and 3 understand that santa is not real…Jesus is the reason we celebrate and christmas is not about what we can get–but rather what we can give. Our kids get three gifts-the same about Jesus was given by the wise men AND we make it a huge point to give to others by making-giving etc. My 7 year old totally gets it and he is grateful for the things he has…but most imporantly he is willing to give to others…we we shop for others I have only had to remind him once this year-by saying why are we shopping? and he was like right..that child who won’t have any christmas…totally the true spirit of christmas….one last thought-when we were participating in operation christmas child–when discussing how this would be these children’s only christmas and one child (who parent’s lie to their kids about santa) said–
“but won’t santa bring them presents?”…hmmm still okay to lie to your kids??
