This is a good one, people. I am excited about the discussion that is going to ensue. This week is all about breast pads. I hope that isn’t too personal. But, as a breastfeeding mom, it’s very relevant, so I am going to dare to ‘go there’.
Medela Breast Pads
When I did my baby registry, I registered for these simply because I was registering for pretty much everything Medela. Well, this was an unexpected good move. You see the shape of the pads makes them pretty much seamless. They stay in place and don’t bunch up. While they are a little more expensive than some of the other pads out there, they are totally worth it.
Playtex Breast Pads
Despite loving my Medelas, these were on super clearance at Walgreens, so I figured, why not? Well, they were not worth one penny. Unlike the Medelas, they are not seamless, but rather lumpy. They don’t stay in place. Sometimes, I will wake up and they are all bunched up. Terrible. Basically, they suck.
So, let’s discuss. What has your experience been with breast pads? Have you tried the reusables? Do they work? Any other brands worth trying?
