Lots of Scrapbooking

by jessicaturner on October 20, 2008

I was quite the busy scrapbooker this weekend. I completed six layouts, as well as a few xyron projects. Our dining room area has scrapbook stuff everywhere, but that’s okay.

Xyron partnered with Die Cuts with a View for the Xyron design team to design some projects using DCWV products. DVWV generously sent me the Nana’s Nursery paper pack and a few embellishments. This line is ADORABLE. The illustrated animals are so sweet and a lot of the pages are enhanced with glitter. I know you can get this paper at JoAnns. I couldn’t stop playing with it. Here are a few of the projects I will be sending to Xyron.
This is a cute little door hanger. The scalloped embellishment is mounted with pop dots, which gives it nice dimension.
This door sign was made using an 8×10 canvas. Adam is just a random boy name I used. I cut the letters using the Xyron Personal Cutting System.
Below are the layouts from this weekend, as well as a few others I have done recently. You can click on any other them to make them bigger to see the details. Most of the pictures are from my August trip to Wisconsin with Elias.

I love this layout of my Mom with Elias. The heart and diamond border is painted chipboard.
This paper and letter foam stickers are from the Target $1 section – looks good, huh?
My grandma loves flowers, so this paper just seemed perfect.
The next two layouts feature paper from Nana’s Nursery line. Seriously, isn’t it darling? They make a girl line too, which is just as cute.

This layout was designed using a Becky Higgin’s sketch.

I can’t believe how little Elias was in these two layouts – just a couple weeks old!

These are so great! I am so behind in my scrapbooking… you may have just inspired me to get going on it!!! I love seeing how much everyone loves your boy. He’s so lucky to have the opportunity to look back on these books and realize how treasured he is, too.

Which Xyron product is your favorite? I’ve been looking at their machines for a while but really don’t want a crank one because of frequent joint pain in my hands. Any suggestions?

Kristen –
The X tool works great for ribbon and small embellishments. You just drop your item in and pull the adhesive strip out the other side. I will say that the crank requires no effort – it is super smooth, so it may not bother you. I like the 510- it is the most versatile.

Hope this helps!

Really cute pages! I linked to your blog through your husband’s blog. Love seeing you’re a fellow scrapbooker. I don’t know if you know, but there’s a free class to sign up for at jessicasprague.com that’s all about telling your stories. You should check it out.

Adorable little boy. My two are not so little anymore. :)
