We’re Safe

by jessicaturner on February 6, 2008

Middle Tennessee experienced severe thunderstorms and tornadoes last night. Our condo is located on the second floor of our building and there is no basement. (Basements are not common in TN because the ground is solid rock – making them very expensive to build.) Matthew and I each went in a bathroom and in a bathtub. Leave it to me – I made Matthew take pictures of me covered with pillows in the bathtub. I thought they would make you laugh.

Also, we took my weekly belly picture. Really not much different than last week. Four weeks from today we find out the sex of the baby! I can’t wait.

This weekend I finished A Thousand Splendid Suns. It was wonderful and so sad. The author, Khaled Hosseini is such a talented storyteller. I will say that Someone Knows My Name is still the best book I have ever read. You MUST get this book.

Glad you were safe! And cute picture! I was in a tornado when I was on bedrest with my triplets. I had the 3 crib matresses covering me in the hallway, and I was home alone. Very scary! Blessings,
